Division/Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Supervisor
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Summary

Is responsible for first review and data capture for all types of submitted documentation. Contacts claimants via telephone and/or email to obtain information. Provides administrative support to the Operations department.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Works under immediate supervision in a collaborative team environment

Position Qualification Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or its equivalent.
  2. Attention to detail with basic analytical skills
  3. Adaptability to changing policies, procedures and applications
  4. Effective communication
  5. Computer literacy
  6. Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
  7. Ability to clearly communicate via phone
  8. Willing to work normal business hours
  9. Prior experience in the healthcare industry is preferred

Responsibilities:

  1. Data entry, annotation and review of documentation submitted for various Verus administered projects.
  2. Communicates with law firms via application notes.
  3. Contact claimants via phone to obtain/verify information.
  4. Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
  5. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, scanning, filing, and contacting claimants as needed via phone and email.
  6. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
