Judge Approves MDL 3043 Leadership Team for Acetaminophen Litigation

On November 17, 2022, U.S. District Judge Denise Cote approved the leadership team in the multidistrict acetaminophen litigation filed against Johnson & Johnson and several other retailers, including Costco, Walmart, Rite Aid and Walgreen’s. Plaintiffs in a growing number of acetaminophen litigation cases have alleged that prenatal exposure to acetaminophen (marketed by defendant J&J under the brand-name Tylenol) when taken by pregnant women may result in a number of neurological issues, including autism (ASD) and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
